Modern Slavery Statement

1. Introduction
1.1 This statement sets out the steps Vantu Ltd takes to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking are not present in our business or supply chain. It covers the financial year ending 31 December 2025 and reflects our continuing approach for the current financial year.
1.2 This statement is published voluntarily. Vantu Ltd's annual turnover is below the £36m threshold at which a statement is required under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We publish this statement because we expect the same standards of our suppliers as our clients expect of us.
2. Our business
2.1 Vantu provides AI enabled operating model transformation services to law firms and professional services clients. We operate remotely, with no physical premises, no manufacturing, and no inventory.
2.2 Our team consists of the Founder, employees, and contractors. Where Vantu engages personnel overseas, we do so through regulated employment routes (employer of record providers, professional services contracts, or direct local employment) compliant with the applicable employment law of the relevant jurisdiction.
3. Our supply chain
3.1 Our supply chain is limited and consists of:
3.1.1 Cloud and software vendors (Microsoft 365, Anthropic Claude).
3.1.2 Banking and financial services (regulated UK banking provider, accountants, insurers).
3.1.3 Professional services (legal advisers).
3.1.4 Individual contractors and subcontractors engaged on client work, and employer of record or equivalent providers where Vantu engages personnel through indirect employment routes.
3.2 We have no physical goods supply chain, no manufacturing, and no use of unskilled or low wage labour. Where Vantu engages personnel overseas, the engagement is in professional services (AI consultancy and related work), which is a regulated sector globally.
4. Our risk assessment
4.1 We assess the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chain as low. The basis for this assessment is:
4.1.1 We engage no workers in sectors identified by the UK Home Office, the International Labour Organization, or the Global Slavery Index as elevated risk for modern slavery (typically construction, agriculture, domestic work, fishing, garment manufacturing, mining).
4.1.2 All Vantu personnel, wherever based, are engaged in professional services (AI consultancy and related work) in roles requiring specialist skills.
4.1.3 Our cloud and software suppliers are large regulated organisations that publish their own modern slavery statements.
4.1.4 Where Vantu engages personnel through an employer of record or equivalent provider, the provider is responsible for local employment law compliance and statutory worker protections in the relevant jurisdiction. The Founder satisfies herself of the provider's compliance posture at the point of engagement.
4.1.5 Where Vantu engages personnel in a new jurisdiction, the Founder assesses the modern slavery risk profile of that jurisdiction for professional services work before the engagement begins, drawing on the Global Slavery Index and UK Home Office guidance.
5. Our policies and controls
5.1 We require all contractors, subcontractors, and any employer of record or equivalent provider engaged on Vantu's behalf to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK) and equivalent local labour and human trafficking law as a term of their engagement with Vantu.
5.2 We rely on the published modern slavery statements of our major software and service providers, and we will not knowingly engage a supplier that fails to meet equivalent standards.
5.3 We expect anyone working for or with Vantu to report any concern about modern slavery, human trafficking, or labour exploitation. Concerns can be reported to hello@vantu.ai.
5.4 Where Vantu engages personnel in a jurisdiction other than the United Kingdom, the engagement route (employer of record, direct local employment, or contractor) is selected on the basis of demonstrable compliance with the labour, human rights, and anti trafficking law of that jurisdiction. Vantu's due diligence on any third party employment provider is recorded in the supplier register.
6. Training
6.1 Given the size of the team and the low risk profile of our supply chain, we do not run a formal modern slavery training programme. Vantu personnel read this statement at the start of their engagement with Vantu and confirm they have understood it.
7. Effectiveness and review
7.1 We have identified no instances of modern slavery in our business or supply chain in the period covered by this statement.
7.2 This statement is reviewed annually. It is reissued only if circumstances change materially. Examples of material change include acquisition of another business, opening of physical premises, expansion into higher risk geographies, or engagement of suppliers in higher risk sectors.
